Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves using fine sterile needles to create micro-injuries in the skin or scalp. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production – key proteins essential for maintaining healthy skin and hair. Skin rejuvenation and hair growth promotion is further enhanced when microneedling is combined with Exosomes or Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).
Microneedling is well-researched and is considered effective in:
- Improving appearance of age spots and hyperpigmentation
- Diminishing the appearance of pore size
- Exfoliating the skin
- Reducing fine lines & wrinkles
- Reducing stretch marks
- Reducing acne scars
- Improving overall tone, texture and brightness
- Stimulating hair growth
At Arc we offer microneedling with a hyaluronic acid serum, or to significantly increase collagen effects, we can also use Exosomes or your own PRP.
Microneedling with Exosomes:
Exosomes are tiny messenger vesicles secreted by cells to facilitate cell-to-cell communication. Rich in proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, they play a vital role in healing and regeneration while influencing cellular behaviour. When applied topically during and after microneedling, exosomes can penetrate the skin and significantly enhance treatment outcomes. Exosomes have the added benefits of:
- Enhancing Cell Communication: Exosomes carry growth factors that stimulate nearby cells, promoting healing.
- Supporting Regeneration: Exosomes accelerate new cell and collagen production.
- Reducing Inflammation: Their anti-inflammatory properties minimize post-treatment redness and increases recovery time.
- Boosting Hydration: Exosomes improve moisture retention for better skin and scalp appearance.
